BARS MAY BE CLOSING BY 10 PM

We are out of the woods, we're in the woods, we're out of the woods……..

Boy oh boy these are confusing times to say the least.

I mean let's face it we all want to do our best to get rid of this pandemic so we can get on with the rest of our lives to the best of our ability, but does opening a license establishment and then closing it a couple of hours early makes sense?

Toronto public health officials are considering a series of new measures as they seek to curtail the recent sudden rise in COVID-19 infections, including early closures for bars and restaurants and new restrictions on weddings and other large events.

During a briefing at city hall on Wednesday afternoon,

Mayor John Tory identified four “areas for action” that could be taken “based on where we have seen the virus transmitting.”

Tory said.

British Columbia has already imposed an order requiring that bars and restaurants stop serving alcohol by 10 p.m. and close entirely by 11 p.m.

unless they offer food and Tory said that he would support similar action being taken here and would also be willing to “explore possibilities for additional relief” for those businesses that would be impacted by such a measure………..

So here we are again back crippling independent businesses, now I completely understand, but in my eyes what is the sense of even opening up a licensed establishment if you're going to close it a couple of hours early, is that going to help any matters in that specific establishment?

We are seeing children being sent by the thousands in droves to school?

We are seeing commuters by the thousands stuck in tubes with regurgitated air?

Should closing a bar a couple hours early be our primary focus?

We're going to talk about this later on in my show tonight
